FORT MYERS, Fla. – Saint Joseph's sophomore
Jack Forrest led three Hawks in double figures with 18 points, but #6 Kansas pulled away in the second half for a 94-72 victory in the final game of the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off on Friday afternoon at the Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
How It Happened
• After a back-and-forth start, Saint Joseph's opened its biggest lead, 27-20, on a layup by
Ryan Daly at the 9:14 mark.
• The Jayhawks answered with a 19-3 run to take a 39-30 edge on a Ochai Agbaji three-pointer.
• Kansas carried over a 44-36 edge into the second half, but the Hawks came out with the hot hand as they scored the first 10 points of the period to take a 46-44 lead on a Daly layup just under two minutes in.
• The Jayhawks answered back with an 8-3 spurt, but a bucket by
Cameron Brown made it a one-point contest, 52-51.
• Behind a 17-4 run, Kansas pushed ahead as it opened a 69-55 lead with 8:33 to play.
• Saint Joseph's would get within 12, but no closer as the Jayhawks pulled away for the win.

• Forrest ended the game 7-14 from the floor, including 4-8 from distance to finish with 18 points.

Dahmir Bishop finished in double figures for the second straight game as he added 14 points.
• After two games, Bishop has scored more points this season, 28, than he did in 10 games at Xavier last year (16 points).

• Saint Joseph's was 7-9 from the foul line to the Jayhawks' 21-28.
