Men's Basketball Falls Short To #8 Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Saint Joseph's Ryan Daly led four Hawks in double figures with 13 points, however #8 Tennessee prevailed in the end on Monday evening with a 102-66 victory at Thompson-Boling Arena.

How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's jumped out to an early 3-2 edge to start on a three-pointer by Jordan Hall.
• The Volunteers responded with an 18-1 run as they opened a 20-4 advantage on a Victor Bailey, Jr. three-pointer at 14:04.
• A quick 5-0 run capped by a basket by Dahmir Bishop brought the Hawks to within 20-9, but Tennessee allowed SJU to get no closer as the Volunteers took a 56-33 lead into halftime.
• The Hawks came out attacking in the second half and outscored Tennessee 17-13 to start as a layup by Daly made it 69-50 midway through the final period.
• Saint Joseph's would get no closer as the Volunteers answered with a a 22-3 run to pull away for good.

• Bishop joined Daly in double figures with 12 points and grabbed two rebounds.
• Rahmir Moore sparked the SJU bench with 10 points.
• Taylor Funk finished the night with 10 points and five rebounds before fouling out.
• Daly added a team-high seven rebounds and three assists.
