KINGSTON, R.I. - After a back-and-forth first half that had the Saint Joseph's men's basketball team down just four, host Rhode Island pulled away from the Hawks in the second half for a 73-55 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Ryan Center.

Myles Douglas scored the Hawks first seven points as they ran out to a 7-3 lead.
• Rhode Island held a 26-23 lead, but Saint Joseph's
Rahmir Moore converted a three-point play to tie the game with 4:31 left in the first half.
• The Rams responded with a 6-0 run and took a 35-31 advantage into the second half.
• Rhode Island scored the first five points of the second half to open a 40-31 lead.
• Two consecutive three-pointers by
Dennis Ashley brought the Hawks to within five, 42-37.
• Behind an 11-3 run, the Rams opened a 53-40 advantage on a free throw by Jacob Toppin with 8:59 left to play.
• A three-point play by
Cameron Brown made it 54-43, but Rhode Island never allowed the Hawks to get any closer.
