A three-pointer by Saint Joseph's
Cameron Brown with :00.7 to play lifted the Hawks' men's basketball team to a thrilling 73-72 comeback victory over Davidson on Tuesday afternoon at Hagan Arena.
How It Happened
• Trailing by as many as 21 points in the first half, the Hawks battled back to take a 70-68 lead on a three-pointer by Brown with 2:00 to play.
• Davidson tied the game on a pair of free throws by Kellan Grady just 31 seconds later.
• After both teams came up empty in their next possessions, the Wildcats regained the lead, 72-70, on a jumper in the paint by Luka Brajkovic with :06.4 remaining.
• Out of a timeout, Brown took a pass from
Lorenzo Edwards, and side-stepping a defender, buried an open three-pointer for the victory.
• In the first half, Davidson ran out to a 19-2 lead as the Wildcats started 7-of-9 from the field, including 5-of-6 from behind the arc, while the Hawks connected on 1-of-8 attempts.
• The Wildcats extended their advantage to 34-13 before taking a 40-21 lead into the second half.
• Using a 13-2 run midway through the second period, the Hawks cut the deficit to 53-45 on a layup by Brown.
• Continuing to chip away at the Wildcats' advantage, a dunk by
Rahmir Moore sparked a 12-1 run for Saint Joseph's as a three-pointer by
Toliver Freeman brought his team to within one, 63-62, at the 3:33 mark.
• Three free throws by Hyunjung Lee extended Davidson's lead to 66-62, but the Hawks countered with a three-pointer by
Myles Douglas and a pair of free throws from Freeman to take their first lead of the game, 67-66.
• A layup by Grady gave the Wildcats the lead once more, 68-67, before Brown answered back 14 second later to make it 70-68.

• Brown finished with a career-high 24 points, surpassing his previous mark of 17 versus Duquesne and Penn.
• Brown, who scored 16 of his game-high 24 points in the second half, went 10-of-13 from the field and 4-of-6 from three-point range.
• Freeman also finished with a career-high as he scored 16 points, topping his previous high of 12 at Temple earlier this season.
• Moore was the third Hawk in double figures as he added 14 points to go with three assists.
• As a team, the Hawks shot 49.1 percent from the field as they went 26-of-53 overall, connected on 9-of-23 from distance (39.1 percent) and went 12-of-16 from the foul line.
• After shooting just 29.2 percent in the first half (7-of-24), including 0-of-8 from three-point range, Saint Joseph's shot 65.5 percent from the field (19-of-29) and hit 9-of-15 three-pointers in the final 20 minutes.
• Grady led three Wildcats in double figures with 20 points.
• Davidson shot 43.6 percent from the field (24-of-55), went 8-of-20 from behind the arc and 16-of-20 from the foul line.
• The Wildcats shot 55.6 percent (15-of-27) in the first half, but were held to 32.1 percent shooting (9-of-28) in the second half.
• Davidson connected on 8-of-13 three-point attempts in the opening period, but was held to 0-of-7 in the second half.
