COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Junior
Bobby Hastie won the mile and placed second in the 3000m to lead the Saint Joseph's men's track and field squad at the unscored Frank Colden Invitational, held at Ursinus College's Floy Lewis Bakes Center on Saturday afternoon.
Hastie won the mile in a collegiate-best time of 4:23.39 in a field of 58 milers. He took second in the 3000m field of 29 in 9:05.67, finishing as the race's top collegiate competitor.
The 4x400m relay took fifth in a field of 20; sophomore
Joe Cassidy, junior
Stephen McClellan, sophomore
Ryan Dao, and sophomore
Harrison Antone finished in 3:35.46.
Junior long jumper
Vincent Giordano soared to fifth place (6.35m) while sophomore
Michael Welde finished fourth in the 400 meter dash (51.17) and junior
Sebastian Eaton finished fourth in the 200m (22.91). Â
The Hawks return to action next Friday, February 14th at the Fastrack National Invitational, to be held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. Events are slated to begin at 2:00 p.m.
