Men's Basketball Adds Tracey and Forrest

Saint Joseph's men's basketball head coach Billy Lange has announced the additions of Jadrian Tracey and Jack Forrest. A standout at West Oak Academy, Tracey signed a National Letter of Intent earlier this month, while Forrest transfers to Hawk Hill after spending his rookie season at Columbia.

A versatile 6-5 wing, Tracey is coming off a senior season in which he averaged 16 points, five rebounds and four assists per game on a roster filled with six high-major Division I recruits at West Oak Academy. A Sunshine State Independent Athletic Association All-Conference honoree, he led West Oak to the 2020 Florida State title game, finishing with 19 points in the championship. Competing in the Grind Session World Championship in March, Tracey helped West Oak Academy secure a spot in the semifinals following a team-best 21 points, four assists and four steals.

"Jadrian has an infectious, faith-filled energy that will connect in great ways to all areas of Saint Joseph's University," Lange said. "He is resilient, passionate, and optimistic. His impact and upside as a multi-positional defensive player caught our attention immediately. He is a high-level athlete that attacks the basket with force. Most impressive is who he is on a consistent basis - he lives to serve and he loves to work. We are excited to welcome Jadrian to Hawk Hill."

A native of nearby Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, Forrest was a four-year standout at Lower Merion High School before beginning his collegiate career at Columbia this past season. Appearing in 25 games with seven starts for the Lions, the 6-5 guard ranked third on the team in scoring (8.9 ppg) and shot a team-best 35.2 percent from three-point range. Leading the Aces to three Central League titles, Forrest was named Central League MVP and earned All-State Third Team honors as a senior. He will sit out the 2020-21 season per NCAA transfer rules.

"We are excited to add Jack to the story of Saint Joseph's basketball. Our studies of him brought us to a conclusion that he has great upside as a student-athlete and ambassador on Hawk Hill," said Lange. "He comes from a driven family, he is a special student, has a skill set we highly value, and played for a terrific high school program in Lower Merion that prides itself on a connection and competitive spirit that aligns with what Saint Joseph's and this program have always been about."

Tracey and Forrest join Jordan Hall and Anton Jansson, who both singed National Letters of Intent in the fall, to compose the Hawks' incoming class of 2020-21.
