Don D'Ambra has announced the incoming Class of 2024, which features nine freshmen.

"My staff and I are really excited about our 2020 recruiting class," said D'Ambra. "All of them are highly motivated, intelligent, and enthusiastic to be attending SJU. We believe they are all high-character people and will conduct themselves very well, both on and off the field. All of them are extremely hard workers, versatile, and very talented players in their prospective positions. I feel that several of them will be competing to get on the field right away, which will create a positive, competitive environment."

Andersen is a 2019 All-State forward and 2019 All-Central League First Team selection. He was also tabbed a 2017 All-Main Line Honorable Mention as a sophomore center midfielder.
Coach D'Ambra on Andersen: "Mikkel is a very skillful and crafty attacking player. He has the ability to create opportunities in various ways and has the potential to be an impact player."
John Axtman • Forward • 6' 1" • 180 lbs.
Harrisburg, Pa. • Central Dauphin High School
Penn FC Freedom
Axtman was named to the 2019 PIAA All-State Team and earned PIAA Mid-Penn Conference First Team All-Star and PIAA Mid-Penn Conference Most Valuable Player accolades after captaining Central Dauphin to the 2019 PIAA Mid-Penn Conference title, 2019 PIAA District 3 4A title, and 2019 PIAA state tournament as 4A qualifiers. He also earned a spot on the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region East Team as well as 2019 PennLive First Team All-Star and 2019 Player of the Year recognition. A three-year letterwinner, Axtman also led his squad to the state tournament as a junior in 2018. Off the pitch, Axtman also lettered in swimming and diving, where he was a two-time district medalist, and tennis and was a four-year Class Historian and three-year member of the National Honor Society at Central Dauphin.
Coach D'Ambra on Axtman: "John is a versatile player that has an infectious work rate and attitude. He can play multiple positions but will be best suited as a defensive player at our level. I noticed his desire to compete immediately and feel he will grow into a leadership role during his time at SJU."
Kyle Bartleson • Midfielder • 6' 0" • 175 lbs.

South Jersey Elite Barons Rush
An All-State Honorable Mention selection and All-Cape-Atlantic League First Team pick, Bartleson captained his squad to the program's first state final in ten years, first South Jersey Championship in ten years, and a final ranking of #6 in the state of New Jersey. As a junior, Bartleson led St. Augustine Prep to its first Coaches Cup Championship in a decade. Bartleson helped lead his SJEB Rush club team to Eastern Regionals, where he was recognized as one of the top overall goal scorers after registering match-winners against Cedar Stars and Black Watch. He also played for the NJODP program and trained with the Philadelphia Union Pre-Academy. Off the pitch, Bartleson also lettered in lacrosse and was a member of the National Honor Society and National Foreign Language Honor Society and Vice President of St. Augustine Prep's Interact Club.
Coach D'Ambra on Bartleson: "Kyle is a well-rounded midfielder who is capable of making plays both defensively and offensively for us. He is a consistent player with very good field awareness. He adds excellent depth and competition to the central midfield positions."
Nyles Cayemitte • Forward/Winger • 5' 11" • 175 lbs.
Yardley, Pa. • Pennsbury High School
YMS United
A 2019 All-Suburban One League First Team selection and the 2019
Courier Times Golden Team Player of the Year, Cayemitte finished his senior season with eight goals and four assists to lead Pennsbury to the Suburban One National Conference title and to the PIAA District One Class 4A Tournament Second Round. Cayemitte began his high-school career at Holy Ghost Prep before transferring to Pennsbury for his junior (2018) and senior (2019) seasons. Cayemitte was selected for the 2019 Generation Adidas Select Real Madrid Program and trained in Madrid, Spain at the Real Madrid Foundation.
Coach D'Ambra on Cayemitte: "Nyles is a versatile forward that can play up top or out wide in the flanks. He has good athletic ability and speed and is able to make plays in the attack because of his natural instincts around the goal."
Kenyatta "Junior" Collins • Centerback • 6' 2" • 200 lbs.
Clayton, N.J. • Clayton High School
South Jersey Elite Barons Rush
Collins played for the Philadelphia Union Academy U-13/14 and U-15 programs. He was a 2019 Tri-County Conference All-Star First Team selection after scoring goals against Salem, Gloucester Catholic, and Pennsville and was a member of the National Honor Society at Clayton High.
Coach D'Ambra on Collins: "Junior is a central defender that has a lot of experience being in the Philadelphia Union Academy Program for several years. He has excellent athletic qualities and is an excellent distributor out of the back."
Blake Driehuis • Forward • 6' 0" • 170 lbs.
New Zealand • Scots College
Wellington Phoenix Football Academy
Driehuis currently plays for the Wellington Phoenix reserves, a First Tier program in the New Zealand Premiership. Driehuis' name lit up the news as the 17-year-old striker who scored three goals in five minutes – in the 88th minute and twice in stoppage time – in Wellington Phoenix reserves' national league match against Hawke's Bay on November 10, 2019.
Coach D'Ambra on Driehuis: "Blake is a natural forward who has been developing and competing at the highest academy level in New Zealand for many years. I believe that Blake will be ready to contribute right away at SJU and feel he has the ability to be an impact player. He is very active, works hard, has a good understanding of the forward position, and is capable of scoring goals."
Luis Ludosan • Goalkeeper • 6' 6" • 205 lbs.
Mannheim, Germany • Flatow High School
TuS Mechtersheim
Ludosan currently plays for TuS Mechtersheim, a German association soccer club based in Mechtersheim (Römerberg, Germany). Prior international experience includes competition with the Romania U-18 Team and UEFA U-17 Qualifiers while Ludosan also competed for FC Union Berlin U-19 and FC Augsburg U-19 (A-Junioren Bundesliga) and FC Augsburg U-17 (B-Junioren Bundesliga).
Coach D'Ambra on Ludosan: "Luis has excellent size and presence in the box. He distributes well and has outstanding shot-stopping ability. He has played at the highest club level in Germany and also represented his country at the Romanian Youth National Program. Although Luis is a young player, he will bring a lot of experience to our program."
Aidan O'Neill • Midfielder • 6' 1" • 170 lbs.
Northeast Philadelphia • St. Joseph's Prep
Lighthouse Soccer Club
A four-year starter, senior captain, and team MVP for St. Joseph's Prep, O'Neill earned three Philadelphia Catholic League selections over his career, including two First Team honors and a Third Team nod. O'Neill played for the New York Red Bulls RDS program, Philadelphia Union junior program, and FC Delco DA, the latter of which he withdrew from to play soccer at St. Joseph's Prep. With the Philadelphia-based Lighthouse Soccer Club, O'Neill helped the squad reach a #10 national ranking.
Coach D'Ambra on O'Neill: "Aidan is an attacking player who has the ability to contribute to our program in different ways. He has a good soccer IQ, good technical ability, and very good field awareness. His versatility will also allow us to use him in different ways if needed, so I look forward to seeing Aidan develop at SJU."
Nemo Philipp • Midfielder • 6' 2" • 160 lbs.
Hamburg, Germany • Gymnasium Hochrad
Fc St. Pauli
Philipp played for FC St. Pauli, a professional football club out of Hamburg, Germany, for three years. For numerous years, he played in the Youth Bundesliga.
Coach D'Ambra on Philipp: "We are very excited about the addition of Nemo. He is capable of making an immediate impact not only on our team but within the A-10 Conference, as well. He has so many good offensive qualities and can play a few different positions. Nemo has been playing in the top youth level in Germany and will adjust very well to our level. I believe he has a good understanding of the game, and I look forward to helping him reach his full potential at SJU and beyond."
