Leia Khairy each scored, and goalkeeper
Katie Cappelletti made a game-high four saves to lead the Hawks' women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Fordham on Sunday.
How It Happened
• Stellar passing by the Hawks led to their opening goal as a free kick by
Erica Behr was played ahead by teammate
Rachel Brown, and settled by Orendac as she flicked it over the head of Fordham's charging goalkeeper to make it 1-0 at 23:13.
• Khairy added an insurance goal for Saint Joseph's at 72:43 with a shot from from outside the top of the box that sailed over the hands of the Rams' goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
Inside The Boxscore
• Cappelletti picked up her fifth shutout of the season with a four-save performance on the afternoon.
• Khairy's goal was the first of her collegiate career.
• Fordham outshot the Hawks 17-8, but only placed four shots on goal.
