SPARKILL, N.Y. – The USciences men's tennis team wrapped up its fall schedule at St. Thomas Aquinas on Sunday, with Oscar Serra winning twice and Eli Gan-Dy also emerging victorious in singles play.
Serra and partner Jack Kosiorowski finished the fall a team-best 3-2 together after losing just one game at No. 1 doubles.
STAC would win the final two matches to take the doubles point though, before ultimately winning four of the six singles contests.
Serra and Gan-Dy both won via a third-set super-tiebreaker, at the second and fifth flight.
Serra bounced back from dropping the second set to win the super-tiebreaker 10-7 for his first dual victory of the year, while Gan-Dy is now a perfect 2-0 in dual play after recovering from a first set loss to double-up his opponent, 10-5, in the super-tiebreaker.
