PHILADELPHIA –Jack Kosiorowski rallied from a set down at No. 1 singles in USciences men's tennis last-ever Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match, versus Post, on Tuesday evening.
The senior picked up his first league victory - as well as first No. 1 singles triumph - this season, coming back from a 2-6 first set defeat to lose just four games over the final two sets.
Brandon Gildea's match at the fifth flight also went to a third set, with the graduate-student just missing out on his first win of the season after he was defeated 10-5 in a super-tiebreaker.
Action began with USciences dropping two 7-5 decision in doubles play, with Kosiorowski and Eli Gan-Dy and Gildea and Oscar Serra suffering narrow defeats at the second and third flights.
University of the Sciences hosts its last-ever home match next Thursday, when it welcomes Bloomsburg to the Hamlin Center for a 6 p.m. first serve.
