The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team opens play in the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championship this Saturday as the eighth seeded Hawks head to top-seed VCU for 7 p.m. match at Sports Backers Stadium.

• The Hawks are making their 11th overall Atlantic 10 Championship appearance, all coming under the guidance of head coach
Jess Mannella.
• Saint Joseph's capped the regular season with a thrilling last-minute 1-0 victory at #25 VCU last weekend to secure a spot in the A-10 Championships.
• Finishing the regular season with a 5-5-0 conference mark, the Hawks tied Richmond for seventh overall, but the Spiders earned the higher seed on tie breakers.
• Saturday marks the fourth meeting between the Hawks and Rams in the A-10 postseason.
• St. Joe's trails VCU 3-0 in the postseason series as the Rams picked up victories at the 2012 (4-0), 2017 (1-0) and 2018 (2-1) A-10 Championships.

• VCU ranks second in the conference in both goals scored (25), and fewest goals allowed (13).
• This season, the Rams have gone 5-2-0 at home with the only losses coming to Saint Joseph's and Wake Forest.
• Samantha Jerabek currently leads VCU in goals (six) and points (17).
