CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Freshman
Ethan McIntyre led the Saint Joseph's men's cross country team Saturday at the Atlantic 10 Championship as he earned Most Outstanding Rookie Performer and All-Conference honors with a seventh-place finish. Collectively, the team finished eighth of 14 with 184 points.
ABOUT THE EVENT:
- The 8k took place in Cedarville, Ohio at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course and was hosted by the University of Dayton.
- All 14 Atlantic 10 teams competed with a total of 126 finishers.
HOW THE HAWKS FINISHED:
- McIntyre took seventh overall and was the first rookie to cross the finish line with a time of 25:03.3.
- Graduate student Bobby Hastie finished second on the team and 22nd overall in 25:34.4.
- Junior Colin Kane was the third finisher for the Crimson & Gray. Kane recorded a 25:59.4 for 48th.
- Rookie Kevin Jumper claimed 52nd, good enough for fourth on the team. He clocked in at 26:02.3.
- Graduate student George Steinhoff rounded out the scoring efforts for St. Joe's with a 55th place finish. Steinhoff crossed the line in 26:03.7.
- Senior Ira Daly (26:23.1), junior Matthew Coffey (26:28.8), rookie Aidan Groff (27:26.5), sophomore Vincent Twomey (27:34.2), and freshman Dawson Baptiste (27:48.0) completed the Hawks' cohort.
