BRONX, N.Y. - The Saint Joseph's men's cross country team delivered a standout performance at the IC4A Championship, securing a runner-up finish on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park, matching the program's best result since 2016.

  • The men competed in a field of 225 runners, with 22 teams racing in the 8K event at Van Cortlandt Park.

  • Gavin Mogck crossed the line in 25:07.9 to take 26th, with Anthony Gargani right behind him in 28th at 25:09.4, rounding out the team's scoring five.
  • Josh Forrest was next for the Hawks, clocking a 25:21.6 for 32nd, while Brendan Hefferan turned in a 25:47.8 for 59th overall.
  • Noah Deckert followed with a 25:54.9 to finish 65th, ahead of Matt Hoffman, who placed 77th in 25:59.6.
  • Ryan Cichocki recorded a 26:04.5, finishing inside the top 100.
  • Ian Romea and Evan McGregor finished back-to-back for the Hawks, posting times of 26:23.0 and 26:38.3.
  • Jackson Kane wasn't far behind, crossing the line in 26:42.2, while Christian Napoli and Elijah Stoudt closed out the Hawks' efforts with times of 26:57.6 and 27:15.4.
