NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Joseph's senior
Nathan Perrone was named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis All-Conference First Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Perrone posted a 15-1 singles mark this season and added a dozen wins on the doubles side, playing in the top flight in both disciplines, as he helped lead the Hawks to the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship last month. A native of Moorestown, New Jersey, Perrone won his first 10 singles decisions of the season en route to tying for the fifth-highest single-season winning percentage in program history (.938).
It marks the second consecutive First Team honor for Perrone, who is the second Hawk to earn multiple First Team All-Conference honors after
Tim Stierle '18.
Lleyton Cronje of VCU was named the Most Outstanding Performer, while Dayton's Connor Bruce earned the Most Outstanding Rookie Performer award. VCU head coach Anthony Rossi was tabbed as the league's Coach of the Year.
