Aleksa Peev each scored early in the second half to lead the Hawks' women's soccer team past Davidson, 2-0, on Thursday evening at Alumni Stadium. St. Joe's goalkeeper
Katie Cappelletti made a pair of saves to pick up her third shutout of the year.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's and Davidson played to a 0-0 standstill after 45 minutes as the Hawks held a 2-1 edge in shots.
• The Hawks broke through at 51:23 as Nevins headed in a centering pass from Peev.
• Peev extended Saint Joseph's lead to 2-0 just over six minutes later as she scored from inside the box off a pass from
Sofia Filippo.
• Cappelletti made the score stand as she stood tall and denied every Davidson scoring opportunity.

The Hawks (1-7-2, 1-1-0 A-10) host Duquesne on Sunday at 1 p.m. as Saint Joseph's will honor its senior class in a pregame ceremony.
