KINGSTON, R.I. – Saint Joseph's
Ejike Obinna finished with a game-high 18 points and 11 rebounds, and
Jordan Hall added 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, but a late push by Rhode Island led the Rams past the Hawks, 75-64, Wednesday evening at the Ryan Center.
How It Happened
• The Hawks jumped out to an early six-point edge as a layup by
Taylor Funk at 14:44 made it 15-9.
• Behind a 9-1 run, Rhode Island took an 18-16 lead on a three-pointer by Sebastian Thomas.
• With the game squared at 33-33, the Rams ended the half on a 10-4 spurt to take a 43-37 advantage into the second half.
• Rhode Island opened a 51-42 edge early in the second half, but the Hawks pushed back to take a 54-53 lead on a three-pointer by
Jordan Hall at 13:39.
• Tied at 57-57, the Rams closed out the contest on an 18-7 run to pull away for the win.

• St. Joe's finished with four Hawks in double figures, led by Obinna's 18 points.
• Obinna's double-double was his fourth of the season, while Hall's was his fifth.
• Funk and
