ST. LOUIS, Mo. –
Lily Santi recorded a hat trick as the ninth-ranked Saint Joseph's field hockey team cruised past Saint Louis, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a scoreless first quarter,
Manu Ghigliotti broke the deadlock just two minutes into the second with her seventh goal of the season.Â
Noa Schuringa struck six minutes later to double the lead.
• Santi netted her first of the day on a penalty stroke to send the Hawks into the break with a 3-0 lead.
• In the final minute of the third, Santi's second stroke of the day made it 4-0; she then beat SLU's Sasha Sander for her third of the day to set the final margin.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Saint Joseph's (11-3 overall, 5-0 Atlantic 10) held a 27-2 shot advantage over Saint Louis (2-12 overall, 0-5 Atlantic 10) and earned six penalty corners to one for the hosts.

Robin Bleekemolen made one save for the Hawks, while Sander notched eight for the Billikens.
• With the win, the Hawks clinched a berth in the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championship.
