Newport News, Va.- For the third time this season
Cici Perrone of the Saint Joseph's women's cross country team has received Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week accolades, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Perrone was the Hawks top finisher at the ECAC Cross Country Championships which raced at the historic Van Cortlandt Park last week. St. Joe's placed 18
th out of a field of 34 teams. Individually, Perrone placed 50
th overall covering the 6k course in a time of 22:31.3 moving up ten places over the final 2k of the race. Her time was the tenth fastest of all freshmen in the race. Out of all the Atlantic10 teams competing in this race Perrrone clocked the fastest rookie time of the day.Â

Continuing to build on an impressive first year campaign this performance marks the second consecutive race that Perrone has been the top finisher and scorer for the Hawks.Â

The Hawks conclude regular season competition on Friday at the Haverford Season Ender Meet. The women's 3 mile race is scheduled to go off at 4:15 p.m.
