Men’s Cross Country Concludes Action at Haverford Season Ender

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's cross country team completed the regular season on Friday afternoon, concluding action in the Haverford Season Ender.
 
ABOUT THE EVENT
  • The four-mile invitational took place on the college's campus.
  • 57 competitors over the span of five teams raced in the event, two individuals competing unattached.
 
HOW THE HAWKS FINISHED
  • Aidan Doherty paced Hawks with an eighth-place finish, crossing the line in 20:42.5.
  • Carter Geer, Patrick Coyle and Will Rau finished back-to-back-to-back in 12th, 13th and 14th, just over five seconds separating their times. Geer held a time of 20:54.3, while Coyle's time of 20:57.7 just surpassed Rau's finish of 20:59.6. Geer took nearly a minute off his previous low at the distance.
  • Dawson Baptiste earned 18th in the event with a finish of 21:18.1, besting his previous low mark by three seconds.
  • Josh Forrest crossed the line with a time of 21:39.8 to place 27th, soon followed by Zach Williams with a 29th place, 21:43.3 finish.
  • Quinn O'Dell placed 31st after finishing the four-mile race in 21:53.4.
  • Just one second separated Cole Wassell and Ryne Beni, finishing with times of 22:08.4 and 22:09.4 to come in 35th and 36th, respectively. Beni surpassed a previous low in the four-mile set in last year's event by 22 seconds.
  • Owen Hibshman placed 38th with a finish of 22:19.5 in his collegiate debut.
  • Dylan Zuch and Omar Bedak rounded out the Hawks with two seconds separating their times, Zuch finishing in a time of 22:51.0 while Bedak grabbed a 22:53.0.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Hawks prepare for the Atlantic 10 Championships, hosted this season by Richmond. The action is set to take place on Saturday, October 29.
