STATE COLLEGE Pa.- The Saint Joseph's men's cross country team concluded competition for the 2022 season at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.   
 
ABOUT THE MEET:

• The meet was hosted by Penn State University on the Penn State Golf Course.
• Out of the 26 teams competing SJU placed 11^th overall.
• 180 runners competed across the 10k distance.

 HOW THE HAWKS FINISHED:

• Leading the way for the Hawks was Jay Shanahan. The sophomore clocked a time of 31:20.7 which was good for 43^rd place overall.
• Senior Colin Kane went out on a high note coming in second for the team in a time of 31:37.3 to place 58^th.
• Senior Matt Coffey was the third runner for St. Joe's crossing the line in a time of 31:50.9.
• Rounding out the scoring performances for the Hawks were sophomore Colton Johnson (83^rd, 31:58.8) and sophomore Kevin Jumper (87^th, 32:08.4)
• Graduate student Ira Daly (105^th 32:24.2) and sophomore Aidan Groff (119^th, 32:47.3) also competed for the Hawks today.

 UP NEXT:
The Hawks will have some time away from competition before gearing up for the indoor track and field season. Select runners will compete at the Fastrack Season Opener hosted at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Facility in Staten Island N.Y on December 2.
