Box Score 2 ATLANTA, Ga. – Saint Joseph's
Madison Fife connected for her first home run of the season, but the Hawks dropped their opening two games of the Buzz Classic on Friday afternoon. After falling to Marshall 8-0 in six innings in the opener, the Hawks battled host Georgia Tech until the final out, but the Yellow Jackets prevailed, 4-1, in game two.
How It Happened - Game One
• A solo home run by Katie Adams put Marshall up 1-0 in the bottom of the second.
• Aly Harrell extended Marshall's lead to 2-0 with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth.
• Marshall pushed ahead 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth on a two-run home run by Madison Whitaker.
• Saige Pye connected on a three-run home run later in the fifth to make it 7-0.
• Mya Stevenson led off the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run to cap the contest, 8-0.

Jordan Hinkle each collected a hit apiece.
• In the circle,
Amanda Herr moved to 0-1 on the season as she allowed four runs over 4.0 innings, while striking out three.

Saige Stutz struck out one, but allowed four earned runs in an inning plus.
How It Happened - Game Two
• Saint Joseph's took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth on a solo home run by
Madison Fife.
• Georgia Tech took advantage of an error by the Hawks and tied the contests at 1-1 on a RBI single by Jin Sileo.
• The Yellow Jackets took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth as Ariella Jackson scored on a sacrifice fly by Sarah Beth Allen.
• Georgia Tech added to its lead later in the inning as Mallorie Black scored on a RBI groundout by Emma Minghini to make it 3-1.
• A RBI triple by Ella Edgmon extended the Yellow Jackets' lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth.
Inside The Boxscore - Game Two
• Fife went 1-for-2 with the solo home run, and added a walk.

Kayla Tauber drew her first collegiate walk.

Emily Siler allowed two earned runs over 5.0 innings and struck out two, but moved to 0-1 on the year with the loss.
• Rookie
Kaelin Cash allowed an earned run on two hits in 0.1 innings in her collegiate debut.
• Herr held Georgia Tech scoreless over 0.2 innings of relief.
