The Saint Joseph's softball team returns to action on Saturday and Sunday as the Hawks travel to compete in the Retriever Round Robin. The tournament, which will be played at CCBC Catonsville, features St. Joe's, Seton Hall, and host UMBC.

About Saint Joseph's (0-5 Overall)
• The Hawks are back in action after competing in the season-opening Buzz Classic at Georgia Tech last weekend.
• Madison Fife hit .400 with a 1.447 OPS, scored three times and drove in two runs over five games last week.
• Taylor Marinelli collected a team-best five RBI at the Buzz Classic and hit .375.
• Kayla Tauber was named Atlantic 10 Softball Rookie of the Week after hitting .308, with four runs scored and a .471 on-base percentage over five contests.
• In the circle, Emily Siler and Amanda Herr have combined for 14 of the Hawks' 15 strikeouts this year.

About Seton Hall (1-3 Overall)
• The Pirates posted a 1-3 mark at the Tiger Invitational last weekend.
• Seton Hall went 1-1 versus UMass Lowell and 0-2 versus Auburn.
• Abby Wingo hit a team-best .500, while Janae Barracato scored a team-high six runs and hit .462.
• Sydney Babik went 1-0 with a 2.33 ERA, while Shelby Smith recorded a team-high 11 strikeouts.

About UMBC (0-0 Overall)
• UMBC opens its 2022 season this weekend.
• The Retrievers were picked to finish first in the America East.
• UMBC has captured the previous two America East titles.
• Reigning America East Championship Most Outstanding Player, Sierra Pierce, and two-time Pitcher of the Year, Courtney Coppersmith, headline the Retrievers' returnees.
