The Saint Joseph's softball team caps its in-season tournament play this weekend as the Hawks compete in the USF Tournament starting on Friday. Joining St. Joe's in the field are Fairfield, St. John's and tournament host USF.

About Saint Joseph's (2-7 Overall)
• The Hawks return to action after going 2-2 at the UMBC Retriever Round Robin last weekend.
• At the plate, Taylor Marinelli has paced the Hawks' offense, leading the team in average (.370), hits (10) and RBI (eight).
• Kailin Cash was named Atlantic 10 Softball Rookie of the Week on Monday after slugging .625 with five RBI and two runs scored.
• In the circle, Amanda Herr is 1-2 and has tossed a team-leading 23.2 innings, while Emily Siler has struckout a team-high 15 batters.

About Fairfield (1-4 Overall)
• Fairfield opened its season last weekend, going 1-4 at N.C. State's Wolfpack Classic
• Evie Wright enters the weekend with a team-best .400 batting average, while Madison Robicheau has driven in a team-best five runs and connected on two home runs.
• In the circle, Fairfield pitchers combined for a 7.27 ERA as Katie Kudlacik picked up the lone victory for the Stags.

About St. John's (0-4 Overall)
• The Red Storm are looking to pick up their first win of the season after going 0-4 at the Auburn Tiger Invitational to open the season.
• St. John's open play Friday morning versus Fairfield before taking on the Hawks.
• London Jarrard has posted a team-best .300 average entering Friday.
• Erin Brown's 4.20 ERA leads the Red Storm as Hannah Mearns and Carolina Zamudio combined for 19.0 innings of work at the Tiger Invitational.

• The Bulls opened the season with a pair of 3-1 performances in their first two in-season tournaments.
• Josie Foreman has paced USF with a team-best .438 average and added six RBI, while Megan Pierro is just a shade behind her with a .435 average and team-best eight RBI.
