PHILADELPHIA – Oscar Serra won both of his matches in the USciences men's tennis team's 5-2 loss to Chestnut Hill on Tuesday night.
The senior began the evening partnering with Jack Kosiorowski for a 6-3 decision at No. 1 doubles, the duo's team-best fifth victory together, but the Griffins would win the other two matches, 6-3 and 6-1, to take the point.
Serra then prevailed in three sets at the first flight, bouncing back from a 2-6 second set to win the third 6-4 for his team-high fifth singles triumph this season.
Eli Gan-Dy is one win behind him after dropping just two games at No. 3 singles to move to 4-2 overall.
Chestnut Hill took the remaining four singles matches in straight sets.
University of the Sciences completes a three-match home-stand on Saturday when it hosts Post at 11 a.m.
