Erik Reynolds II scored a season-high 27 points to lead the Hawks to a 70-60 victory over Rhode Island on Senior Day at Hagan Arena on Saturday.
How It Happened
• Tied 16-16 midway through the first half, a basket by
Charles Coleman sparked a 7-0 run as a three-pointer by Reynolds II put the Hawks ahead 23-16.
• Saint Joseph's extended its lead to nine, 32-23, on a jumper by
Jordan Hall with 1:18 left in the first half.
• Down by as many as 11 in the second half, Rhode Island cut St. Joe's lead to three, 59-56, on a three-pointer by Malik Martin with 3:38 to play.
• The Hawks responded with a dunk from
Ejike Obinna and a fastbreak bucket from Reynolds II to push ahead 63-56 at the 2:49 mark.
• St. Joe's allowed Rhode Island to get no closer than five points in the final minutes as it closed out the regular season with a victory.

• Reynolds II finished the afternoon 10-of-14 from the field, including 5-of-8 from three-point range, and 2-of-2 from the line for a season-best 27 points.
• Reynolds II, who also added four assists, two steals and a block, previously scored a then-season-high 23 points versus Fordham.
• Hall was the only other Hawk in double figures, finishing with 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
