Box Score 2 AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The USciences baseball team was ahead 4-0 early in game two of a doubleheader with D'Youville, before the Saints stormed back to complete the sweep, 10-6 and 9-2, on Sunday.
AJ Pena had multiple hits in both games as he finished the doubleheader 4-for-6 with two RBI and a double.
Game Two
University of the Sciences led 4-0 after the top of the second and 5-3 following the top of the third, before D'Youville broke it open with a five-run third.
Adam Estrada's leadoff single was the lone hit in the four-run second, as the Devils took advantage of five walks and a hit by pitch.
Chris Anderson, Pena, Eddie Parry and Evan Sinclair all recorded RBIs, but the Saints would take advantage of a passed ball and two errors to get within one in the bottom-half.
Hunter Parish' leadoff hit-by-pitch led to USciences adding a run on a Pena RBI single in the third, but D'Youville hit two homers in its five-run bottom-half.
The Devils stranded the bases loaded in the fourth, as they were only able to add one more run on a Parry sacrifice fly in the fifth.
Parish and Pena both finished 2-for-3 with a double, while Sinclair and Eddie May both reached base twice with a hit and a walk.
Reliever Chris Brown did not surrender an earned run in his three frames in which he scattered four hits, as errors led to two runs.
Game One
D'Youville plated two in the top of the first and led throughout. The Saints were ahead 8-0 by the time USciences managed to score in the fifth.
Louis Fresta allowed just one earned run on four hits in his three innings of relief, while Pena led the offense with a 2-for-3 performance.
Joe Duffy stole a base to notably move into a tie for ninth in program history with 21.
