AMHERST, Mass. – Saint Joseph's softball head coach Erin Brooks earned her 100th victory on Hawk Hill as the Hawks split their doubleheader at UMass on Saturday. After falling 2-0 in the opener, St. Joe's posted a gritty 5-4 victory in nine innings in game two to help Brooks reach the milestone.

How It Happened • Game One
• The Minutewomen took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third on a RBI single by Amy Smith.
• Kristina Day added an insurance run in the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run to right field.

How It Happened • Game Two
• Saint Joseph's struck first as Kayla Tauber stole home to give SJU a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
• The Hawks scored three runs in the top of the third, with Jordan Hinkle scoring first on a throwing error by UMass off a single by Madison Fife.
• Tauber made it 3-0 as she scored on a RBI groundout by Cash.
• Fife made it 4-0 as she scored on a RBI single by Carly Rybinski.
• A RBI single by Jules Shields brought UMass to within 4-1 in the bottom of the third.
• The Minutewomen tallied three runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game at 4-4.
• Saint Joseph's worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the eighth.
• Hailey Malito scored the game-winning run in the top of the ninth on a RBI fielder's choice by Nicole Bondoc.

Inside The Boxscore • Game One
• Emily Siler moved to 9-10 on the season as she allowed two runs on five hits, while striking out two over 4.2 innings.
• Fife, Hailey Malito and Kaelin Cash each were 1-for-3 at the plate.

• Stutz tossed 4.2 innings of scoreless relief to improve to 4-5.
• Fife was 2-for-5 with a run scored.
