MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team got back to its winning ways on Friday, topping Duquesne by a 5-2 score at the SJU Tennis Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Joseph's (9-3) battled back from a match down to win the doubles point.
Nickolas Frisk and
Nathan Perrone won a tiebreak to claim the first flight before
Justus Agbo and
Alp Sentay were winners in the second flight to secure the doubles point for the Hawks.
• Perrone and Sentay pushed the advantage to 3-0 with dominant wins in the first and third flights, respectively.
• After Duquesne (7-8) got a win in the fifth,
Nassim Fenjiro clinched the victory for the Hawks with a straight-sets triumph in the sixth. Agbo added to the final score with a win in the fourth flight.
