MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team continued its series against league-leading Davidson on Friday, falling to the Wildcats, 6-0, at Smithson Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trevor Candelaria got Davidson (39-9 overall, 17-3 Atlantic 10) on the board with a solo home run in the top of the first. A Ryan Wilson sacrifice fly in the third doubled the lead to 2-0.
• A John Hosmer double and a Michael Carico sac fly in the fourth doubled the lead again before a two-run home run by Jacob Hinderleider in the fifth set the final margin.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Blake Hely went the distance for the Wildcats, allowing five hits and striking out six to improve to 9-0 on the season.Â
Luke Smith took the loss for Saint Joseph's (25-21 overall, 9-10 Atlantic 10) after allowing two earned runs and four hits in three and two-thirds innings.

Brendan Hueth notched a pair of hits for the Hawks, while
Tim Cavanaugh singled and was hit by two pitches to reach base three times.

First pitch for Saturday's series finale has been moved up an hour to 11:00 a.m.; prior to the game, the Hawks will honor their graduating seniors on Senior Day.
