QUEENS, N.Y. –
Miranda Behr tallied the first goal of the 2022 season for Saint Joseph's women's soccer team, but a goal by St. John's Nicole Gordon in the 85th minute proved to be the difference as the Hawks fell to the Red Storm in their season-opening match, 2-1, on Thursday evening.
How It Happened
• St. John's took a 1-0 lead at 36:28 as Jessica Garziano converted a penalty kick opportunity.
• The Hawks tied the game at 69:55 as
Miranda Behr scored off of a pass from
Chloe Khelil.
• The Red Storm broke the tie with just over five minutes to play as Gordon scored unassisted at 84:32.
