The Hawks enter the season looking to build upon their thrilling run to the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship a season ago. Backed by 18 returning letterwinners, including nine starters, St. Joe's is poised to take the next step in 2022.

In goal, junior Katie CappellettiĀ is coming off a career season as she set career-highs in shutouts (seven) andĀ saves (114), while senior Kathleen Rivera adds depth and experience for the Hawks.

On defense, Saint Joseph'sĀ added talented transferĀ Amanda MaxsonĀ from CincinnatiĀ toĀ a veteran core of returning letterwinners in Erica Behr, Kayla Flanders, Danielle Stuart, Quinn Sokol and Chloe Khelil that helped the Hawks rank among the conference leaders in shutouts.

Named to the A-10 All-Conference Team last year, Ashley Orendac paced the Hawks in goals (five) and points (10) in 2021. Along with Orendac, the Hawks return letterwinnersĀ Maddie Anderson, Nicole Angelini,Ā Miranda Behr, Rachel Brown,Ā Lauren HattĀ andĀ Natalie Nevins, while welcoming transferĀ Mairin Boyle and rookieĀ Jayda ShehadiĀ

Graduate student Izzy Greene leads a youthfulĀ frontline that includesĀ Sam Dumont, Jiselle Daniels andĀ Lucia Zovak, and newcomersĀ Chloe Oudin,Ā Aaniyah Street andĀ Natalee Vicari.

Picked seventh in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, Saint Joseph's is set to proveĀ prognosticators wrong as the Hawks challenge for both an A-10 title and NCAA Tournament appearance.
