Saint Joseph's junior
Katie Cappelletti has been named United Women's Soccer East Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, organization officials have announced.
Playing for the Rochester this past summer, Cappelletti helped the Lady Lancers tie for the first place in the Penn-NY Division. Appearing in eight matches, she finished the season with seven shutouts, including six consecutive clean sheets to cap the year. Additionally, she ranked ninth overall in the league in saves with 42.
Cappelletti and the Hawks are back in action on Friday at Fairleigh Dickinson at 7 p.m.
