PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team culminated a strong spring season with a win in the 2026 Spring Cup hosted by Villanova.
The Spring Cup is a round robin of two pods that leads into a playoff. The Hawks were in a pod with Drexel and La Salle. Monmouth, Temple and Villanova was the other group.
Advancing to the playoff bracket on a tiebreaker, SJU made the most of its opportunity. In the semis, St. Joe's claimed a 1-0 win against Monmouth on a goal from
Ashley Rhodes, assisted by
Sarah Fisher.
The championship match was scoreless against La Salle into overtime. In the extra session,
Olivia Mancini fed
Valentina Nardone who put home the championship winning goal.
In net,
Peyton Radwanski did not allow a goal in the two matches.
