Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Strong First Half Lifts Women's Soccer Over Fordham, 3-1

Saint Joseph's Natalie Nevins, Jiselle Daniels, and Mairin Boyle each scored first half goals to lead the Hawks' women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Fordham on Thursday evening at Sweeney Field.

How It Happened
• Nevins opened the scoring at 7:44 as her shot from the left side of the box sailed over Fordham's goalkeeper's hands and inside the right post to make it 1-0.
• The Rams fought back to tie the match at 1-1 as Caitlin Kennedy scored off a corner kick at 21:12.
• Daniels put the Hawks back on top 40 seconds later as she took a feed from Nicole Angelini and drilled a shot that found the back of the net.
• Boyle added an insurance goal at 34:18 as she scored off a scrum in front of the net for her first tally in a St. Joe's uniform.

Inside The Boxscore
• Katie Cappelletti made a game-high two saves to earn the victory in goal for the Hawks.
• Daniels and Angelini earned assists on Nevins' goal.
• Daniels led the Hawks with four shots, while Nevins added two shots.
