• For the third consecutive season, Saint Joseph's takes on rival La Salle as part of a special Martin Luther King, Jr. Day matchup.
• Monday's contest, set for a 2:00 p.m. tip, will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network, with audio broadcast available on SJUHawks.com.
• Saint Joseph's Billy Lange and former La Salle head coach Ashley Howard spearheaded the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day contest between the two Philadelphia programs that started three seasons ago.
• The Hawks will wear a commemorative Martin Luther King, Jr. "Respect. Elevate. Serve." warm-up shirt for Monday's contest.
• As part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, the Hawks continued their relationship with Gompers School as St. Joe's spent a portion of the day interacting with the grade school students.

• The Hawks and La Salle have a discrepancy in all-time record as SJU recognizes the first meeting between the two teams as a 35-29 victory on February 11, 1909, while the Explorers view their 39-20 win on February 10, 1934 as the start of the series based upon their start at the Division I level in 1931-32.
• This year's second contest between the Hawks and Explorers, on February 5, counts towards the Big 5 standings.
