Saint Joseph's men's basketball head coach Billy Lange has announced that Shawn Simmons II is enrolled at St. Joe's for the spring 2023 semester.

One of the top forwards in the nation, Simmons II brings an athletic versatility to the Saint Joseph's program. A three-star recruit per 247 Sports, Simmons II excelled against high school competition, and on the AAU circuit where he averaged 14.0 points per game as a standout for Team Durant.

During the spring semester on Hawk Hill, Simmons II will take academic classes, participate in practice and training sessions, and be involved with other team sponsored activities. Simmons II will compete for the Hawks in game contests starting in the 2023-24 season.
