CHARLESTON, S.C. – Saint Joseph's caps the road portion of its non-conference schedule on Thursday as the Hawks travel to College of Charleston. Thursday's contest will stream on FloHoops, with audio available on SJUHawks.com.
• Thursday's contests is the first meeting between the Hawks and Cougars.
• St. Joe's is coming off an 83-58 victory over Iona in the Holiday Hoopfest on Saturday.
• Erik Reynolds II, who led all scorers with a game-high 26 points and added four assists and four rebounds versus Iona, was named the Holiday Hoopfest Most Outstanding Player of the Game.
• Reynolds II was also recognized as Big 5 Player of the Week and Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week on Monday.
• Cameron Brown matched his season high with 17 points, and grabbed seven rebounds versus Iona.
• The Hawks went 15-30 from three-point range on Saturday, matching their season high for three-pointers that they set at #17 Kentucky.
• St. Joe's shot 52 percent from the field (26-50) while holding the Gaels to just 27.7 percent (18-65).
• As a team, the Hawks currently rank seventh nationally in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to 37.2 percent from the floor.
• At the other end, Saint Joseph's is fifth nationally in made three-pointers per game (11.1) and seventh in three-point attempts per game (30.0).
HAWKS EARN NATIONAL RECOGNITION
For the second consecutive week, Saint Joseph's earned recognition in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, this week earning two votes after receiving one previously. This season marks the first time the Hawks received votes since February 29, 2016. All-time, St. Joe's has been ranked in the top 25 of the Associated Press Poll 66 times, reaching as high as #1 in 2003-04 season.
