PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Saint Joseph's
Lynn Greer III scored a game-high 22 points and
Erik Reynolds II added 19 points, but Duquesne held off the Hawks for a 76-62 win on Wednesday evening at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
How It Happened
• Duquesne jumped out to an 11-4 lead on a basket by David Dixon at 13:38.
• Reynolds II brought the Hawks to within four on a three-pointer, but the Dukes responded with an 8-0 run as a three-pointer by Jimmy Clark III made it 19-7.
• Five straight points by Saint Joseph's made it 19-12 on a layup by Greer III.
• Behind an 8-2 run, Duquesne took a 27-14 edge on a Tevin Brewer three-pointer with under eight minutes to go in the first half.
• A free throw by
Ejike Obinna made it 32-22.
• Duquesne capped the first half with a 7-2 run to open a 39-24 lead.
• A quick start for the Hawks brought them to within 44-33 on a pair of free throws by Greer III just over three minutes into the second half.
• The Dukes would keep St. Joe's at a distance from there though, never allowing the Hawks to draw any closer.

• Greer III connected on 6-13 from the field and 10-12 from the foul line for 22 points, to go with three assists and three rebounds.
• Reynolds II had a pair of rebounds and assists to go with 19 points.
• Obinna was the third Hawk in double figures as he scored 11 points and added six rebounds.

Rasheer Fleming grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds and had two points, two blocks and two steals.
