ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team opened its spring slate on Saturday afternoon, falling to Navy, 7-0, at the Tose Family Tennis Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Navy (5-2) swept the three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day.
• Saint Joseph's (0-1) saw some good singles performances across the six flights, but the hosts would ultimately sweep the singles points as well.

"Opening match nerves against more match-fit opposition were apparent, but once we overcame those, some very competitive tennis ensued," head coach
Ian Crookenden said. "Every fit player participated, so we have no excuses next match."
UP NEXT
That next match takes place a week from today when the Hawks host Coppin State at the Legacy Indoor Tennis Facility.
