CHICAGO – Behind a 12-0 run to end the game, the Saint Joseph's men's basketball team earned an 83-71 victory over Loyola Chicago on Wednesday evening at Gentile Arena.
How It Happened
• In a first half that featured 11 lead changes and seven ties, Loyola Chicago opened its biggest lead, 25-21, on a three-pointer by Jalen Quinn at 8:13.
• Saint Joseph's battled back to retake the lead, 33-32, on a three-pointer by
Lynn Greer III with 3:09 to go in the first half.
• Tied 39-39 in the final seconds, a layup by
Ejike Obinna gave the Hawks a 41-39 advantage after 20 minutes.
• Loyola Chicago pushed ahead 56-53, but the Hawks answered with a 9-0 run to take a 62-56 advantage on a
Cameron Brown three-pointer at 8:32.
• The Ramblers answered with eight straight points to regain the lead, 64-62, on a Braden Norris three-pointer less than two minutes later.
• After St. Joe's retook the lead, 71-69, a pair of free throws by Norris tied the game at 71-71 with 3:38 to go.
• The Hawks defense stifled the Ramblers from there, holding Loyola Chicago to 0-5 from the field and causing a pair of turnovers, while at the other end, Saint Joseph's scored 12 unanswered to pull away for the win.

• Reynolds II led the Hawks with 24 points, 20 of which came in the second half, and added two assists and two steals.
• Brown poured in 19 points to go with five rebounds.
• Greer III finished with 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
