NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Joseph's freshman Meghan Sinkus has been named Atlantic 10 Softball Co-Rookie of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Over four contests last week, the starting outfielder went 6-for-12 with six runs scored, two home runs, two RBI, a 1.083 slugging percentage and two stolen bases. After going 1-for-3 with a run scored at Delaware on Wednesday, Sinkus went 5-for-9 nine with five runs scored in the Hawks' three-game series against George Washington. Sinkus, who currently leads St. Joe's in hits (31), runs (21), and stolen bases (11), shares the A-10 weekly rookie honor with Fordham's Neleh Nogay.

Sinkus and the Hawks travel to Penn for a 4 p.m. contest on Wednesday, April 12.
