Box Score PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team fell to crosstown rival Drexel on Thursday by a score of 6-1.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Drexel earned the doubles point with a sweep of all three flights.
 
• The Dragons would win five of the six singles flights to claim the overall victory.  Ireland Amato earned a point for the Hawks, taking a straight-sets win in the sixth flight.

"A tough match, as we expected, against a balanced and talented team," head coach Ian Crookenden said.  "Our goal now is to learn to win two tough matches in a row.  We are not one-shot wonders, and we will prove it.  It was a good fight and good effort against a strong opponent."
 
UP NEXT
The Hawks hit the road for a pair of matches against Atlantic 10 foes, visiting UMass on Saturday and Rhode Island on Sunday.
