PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's women's cross country program begins the start of the 2023 campaign on Friday evening, joining in at the Lehigh Invitational.
Coming off a season in which the Hawks placed 11
th in the A-10 Championships, the Crimson and Gray look to build some momentum headed into a fresh season. The Hawks were picked to finish 12
th in the conference,
as voted by the conference head coaches.
Ava Curry leads St. Joe's with the best finish at the A-10 Championships amongst returners, looking to steady a roster full of incoming depth from the nine newcomers to the side. Also returning for the season opener from the team that competed at the conference championship includes
Katie Sparks,
Alyssa Brinsky,
Danielle Juliano,
Maura Keane,
Becca Millar and
Carlyn Segrave-Daly, a blend of youth and experience surged into the squad.
The women start the event with a 6k beginning at 5:30 p.m.
