PHILADELPHIA – Due to the intense rain associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Ophelia that came through the Philadelphia region on Sunday, the women's soccer match between Saint Joseph's and George Mason has been abandoned because of unplayable pitch conditions.
The match has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 4, at 5:00 p.m. and will be replayed in its entirety. Statistics from the portion of the match that was played on Sunday will not count; the Hawks held a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick by
Natalie Nevins when play was halted.
