KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island's Luis Kortright hit a go-ahead basket with 1.0 second to play as Saint Joseph's fell to the Rams in its Atlantic 10 opener, 78-74, on Wednesday evening at the Ryan Center.

• Rhode Island tied the contest at 9-9, but a three-pointer by

• A three-pointer from Reynolds II and a dunk by Fleming extended the Hawks' lead to 10, 60-50.
• Rhode Island responded with a 7-0 run to get within 60-57 on a Brandon Weston layup at 8:01.

• Down 74-72, Reynolds II was fouled grabbing a defensive rebound, and calmly connected on a pair of free throws to tie the game at 74-74 with 27 seconds remaining.
• With the final seconds ticking away, Rhode Island's Kortright drove the lane and hit a floater with 1.0 second to go.
• After an errant in-bounds pass by the Hawks, Zek Montgomery sealed the game with a pair of free throws for the Rams.

• Fleming finished with his second double-double of the year, scoring 12 points and grabbing 12 boards on the night.
