Emily Hanrahan and
Chloe Khelil tallied first-half goals to help lead fifth seed Saint Joseph's to a 2-1 victory over fourth seed Fordham in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Championship on Friday evening at Moglia Stadium at Jack Coffey Field.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's took a 1-0 advantage at 23:57 as Hanrahan took a lead pass from
Sarah Fisher and beat Fordham's goalkeeper Kyla King.
• Khelil extended the Hawks' lead to 2-0 just before halftime as her free kick from over midfield beat the Rams' King at 39:38.
• St. Joe's kept Fordham at a distance for most of the second half, but Riley Carroll made it 2-1 on a goal with three seconds remaining in the match.
• The Hawks played the ball deep into the Fordham zone on the restart to close out the victory.
