Men's Basketball Heads To La Salle For An ESPNU Matchup On Saturday

Saint Joseph's travels to La Salle for the second of two meetings this season as the two teams meet on Saturday at Tom Gola Arena. Saturday's contest, set for a noon tip, will be televised on ESPNU, with audio broadcast available on SJUHawks.com.

• Led by a game-high 19 points from Xzayvier Brown, St. Joe's won the first contest against La Salle, 82-62, on January 15 at Hagan Arena.
• The Hawks enter Saturday having won four of their last five games, including a 75-73 victory over George Mason on Wednesday.
Xzayvier Brown scored 11 of his team-high 16 points in the second half of Wednesday night's win, and added four assists to go with four steals.
Rasheer Fleming finished a rebound shy of a double-double as he scored 13 points and grabbed nine boards against the Patriots.
Erik Reynolds II and Cameron Brown scored 14 points and 11 points, respectively, on Wednesday.
Christ Essandoko grabbed a season-best 15 rebounds, matched his season-high with three blocked shots, and scored six points.
• Saint Joseph's shot 50.9 percent from the field (28-55) against George Mason, including 64 percent (16-25) in the second half.
• During Atlantic 10 play, the Hawks' freshmen and sophomores have accounted for 792 of St. Joe's 1,600 minutes, accounting for 49.5 percent of time played.

Saturday marks the 140th meeting between Saint Joseph's and La Salle ... Saint Joseph's 74 wins are its most versus any opponent ... The Hawks and La Salle have a discrepancy in all-time record as SJU recognizes the first meeting between the two teams as a 35-29 victory on February 11, 1909, while the Explorers view their 39-20 win on February 10, 1934 as the start of the series based upon their start at the Division I level in 1931-32 ... Billy Lange, who was an assistant at La Salle for the 1998-99 season, is 2-2 all-time versus Fran Dunphy.
