CLINTON, S.C. – A wild pitch in the bottom of the 10
th inning brought in the winning run as the Saint Joseph's baseball team suffered its first loss of the season, 3-2, at Presbyterian on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Neither team broke through until Presbyterian (5-2) got on the board on a solo home run by Joel Dragoo in the fourth inning.

• Saint Joseph's (2-1) took the lead in the top of the sixth after
Conlan Wall led off with a single and
Ryan Weingartner hit the first pitch out to center for a 2-1 SJU lead.

• The Hawks escaped trouble in the bottom of the frame, as a double play with the bases loaded ended the inning, but the Blue Hose drew level in the eighth on an error.

• The hosts then got the walkoff win on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10
th.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Tanner Smith tossed one shutout inning of relief for the win, while
Luke Smith took the loss after allowing two runs on three hits in three-plus innings of work.

Ryan DeSanto was strong in his season debut, allowing just a single hit, the home run to Dragoo, in five innings. He struck out five on the day.

• Weingartner upped his weekend RBI total to four with another multi-hit game.
