MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team closed out its four-game homestand on Wednesday, falling to Navy by a 17-7 score.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Navy (11-10) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, pushing it to a five-run advantage in the third.

• Saint Joseph's (8-10) got on the board in the bottom of the frame.  After a single by Joey Gale and a walk to Conlan Wall, Ryan Weingartner singled to right to score Gale.

• Two batters later, Ryan Picollo ripped a single up the middle to plate Wall and Weingartner and get the Hawks back within a pair.

• Unfortunately for the Crimson and Gray, the Midshipmen added three in the fourth and six in the fifth.

• Picollo added a third RBI on a single with one out in the fifth to make it a 14-4 game.

• Navy would add three in the top of the seventh before Owen Petrich closed out the scoring with a three-run home run in the bottom of the inning.
