DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson posted big innings in the sixth, seventh, and eighth on Friday to top the Saint Joseph's baseball team, 14-3, at Wilson Field on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Davidson (13-13 overall, 2-0 Atlantic 10) took the lead in the bottom of the first on a double by Michael O'Shaughnessy.

• Saint Joseph's (9-15 overall, 0-2 Atlantic 10) tied the game on an RBI single by
Max Hitman in the second and went ahead on a single by
Ryan Picollo in the third.

• The Wildcats regained the lead in the sixth, putting three on the board. The hosts then tacked on 10 more over the next two frames to take a big lead into the ninth.

Owen Petrich hit an RBI single in the ninth to close out the scoring.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• Cooper Cavanaugh allowed two runs on four hits in six innings to earn the win, while Isaac Fix tossed three innings of relief for the save.Â
Ryan DeSanto was charged with the loss after allowing four runs on three hits in five and a third innings. He struck out 10 and retired 12 batters in a row between the second and fifth innings.

Tim Dickinson each recorded a hit and two walks while scoring a run in the game. Wall added three stolen bases as well.
